Oil on board signed E.Dodson, dated 1984. The style of this painting is not quite the specialty of Orientalist Arabia however the majesty of this beautiful lady clinched it! The artist has captured the skin tones and the eyes superbly. The folds in the material covering her head and the shadows are exceptional. Size 16"X12", the deep-cut moulded frame is 2.5" wide.
This is a print by well-known artist David Roberts. This is not a painting. Having said that this is quite old, however we have been unable to determine the exact age. Condition of the frame reflects age. The words "Gate of Damascus, Jerusalem, April 4th, 1839" appear in the bottom right-hand corner. Size approx. 13.5"X12.5".
